Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 18:36 I went to visit my friends in Red Hook Brooklyn. They just opened a lovely bar and restaurant. The phone rang and I was informed that it was a FM Talklive call from Stockholm Sweden. I decided to take the call from this tiny old phone booth.

I went to a very cool concert tonight in Liberty State Park. All Points West was the concert.
It was Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Many bands played over the weekend. Radiohead was the main band on Saturday.
Sunday when I was there, the main bands were Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Trey Anastasio
I am telling you because I remember when you asked me about a song once that I used for a video and it was Jack Johnson.
He was truly amazing to see live...so was Ben Harper.
The venue was outstanding as well.

PS I saw a band that I had never heard of before... really great also and of course their name is Cat Power.

Yeah, I went out and bought Sleeping Through the Static the same day you recommended it and have listened to it many times. Great choice, as usual, Lori. Coincidentally, tonight I wrote a song in the style of JJ's music on Curious George to the words of the poem you wrote that I said I had memorized (and forgotten): "Please wake up. I cannot sleep, think I'm a creep, It is hurting in my belly and I feel so smelly...etc" Remember that one? I'll send you a recording of it ;-)
